Numismatic Investments Corporation - Leveraging Market Mispricing

K-Score Portfolios

Each K-Score Portfolio is unique and consists of rare US coins that have been identified as potentially undervalued. Only coins that have been certified by PCGS and NGC - the two major grading services - are included. Each portfolio coin is hand selected by our professional staff for both quality and price.

Portfolio prices range from $25,000 to $1,000,000. Larger portfolios have less volatility and are more likely to achieve overall K-Score level returns. Clients have the option of tailoring their portfolio to meet specific needs, such as limiting contents to precious metal rare coins only.

To ensure diversification and hedge against changes in general market demand for specific coin series, K-Score Portfolios consist of coins from a wide variety of series and grades. Coins will typically be selected from the following series:

  • $20 St. Gaudens Gold
  • $20 Liberty Gold
  • $10 Indian Gold
  • $10 Liberty Gold
  • $5 Indian Gold
  • $5 Liberty Gold
  • $1 Commemorative Silver
  • $1 Peace Silver
  • $1 Morgan Silver
  • $0.50 Franklin Silver - Full Bell Line only
  • $0.50 Walking Liberty Silver
  • $0.25 Standing Liberty Silver
  • $0.10 Mercury Silver
  • $0.05 Buffalo Nickel
  • $0.05 Liberty Nickel
  • $0.01 Lincoln Copper - Pre-1933, RB & RD only
  • $0.01 Indian Copper, RB & RD only

Depending upon availability, positive K-Score coins from other series - as well as higher graded coins - may also be included.

The number of coins included in each K-Score Portfolio will vary based on portfolio size and market availability.

The results indicate that including a modest amount of rare coins within an existing portfolio could improve performance by either increasing returns without significantly increasing risk or by reducing risk without adversely affecting returns significantly
